Who we are
BakerZonePH (“we”) is an order-management platform for home bakers in the Philippines, operated from the Philippines. For anything in this policy, contact hello@bakerzoneph.com. We aim to handle personal data in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).
What we collect
- Account details — name, email, and login credentials (handled by our authentication provider; we never see your password).
- Baker business information — business name, address, map pin, photos, product catalog, and plan details.
- Order and customer records — the orders, customer names, and contact details bakers enter to run their business. Bakers control this data about their own customers; we process it on their behalf and never publish it.
- Payment proof images — receipt screenshots uploaded to orders, stored privately.
- Sales and expense records — on plans that include the money tools, what bakers record about their own sales and spending. Expenses can be marked personal (groceries, allowance, rent), so this may include household spending, not just business costs. See “Your money records” below.
- Join inquiries — what you submit on our invite request form.
- Technical basics — server logs and IP addresses, used for security and rate limiting.
What is public — and only by choice
Nothing about a baker is public until they switch on public discovery. When they do, their profile shows what they chose to publish: business name, address and map pin, service area, cake photos they explicitly published, specialties, and social links. Phone numbers and email addresses are never published. Photos from customer orders reach the public gallery only when the baker publishes them one by one, with a reminder to check for customer names or faces first.
Your money records
Sales and expenses you record are private to your account. They are never published on your profile, never shown to customers, and never shared with other bakers. Because a home baker’s money is one wallet, expenses can be marked personal — groceries, allowance, rent, family — and we keep that separate from business figures so your business totals stay meaningful. You can delete any record at any time, and deleting your account removes them with it.
AI features
Two features use third-party AI models (Google or Anthropic): the inquiry parser reads a message a baker pastes to pre-fill an order form, and gallery photos are tagged so they can be found in search. Visitor search queries are processed in memory and never stored. Please don’t paste content into AI features that contains sensitive personal information.
Who processes data for us
We use a small set of service providers to run BakerZonePH: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Vercel and DigitalOcean (hosting), Resend (transactional email), Google Maps (maps on the website), and the AI providers above. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you — email hello@bakerzoneph.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. If you are a baker’s customer, you can also ask the baker directly; we help bakers honor such requests. Deleting your account removes your data from active systems, with backups expiring on a schedule.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll say so on this page and update the date below. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
